One on One with Dj Sevij

Orateng Masia, Rustenburg born is making a name for himself. At the age of ten, when his peers were still sucking their thumbs he on the other hands his fingers were already bitten by the music bug .Dj Sevij as he is well known, is house music Deejay and Producer.

At his teen days, when his friends were drunk by testosterone, he was already getting gigs in local clubs .This engineering student’s source of inspiration is Culolethu Zulu well known as Culoe De Song.

Dj Sevij defines his music as Afro deep and has got him and has played on North West Fm (nna mme wa mpona and a Lehurutshe community Radio station Kopanong FM (Urban Invasion).

His talent got my attention and made me dance like nobody was watching me. This took place a day before the big nights of Metros where famous actors from skeem sam Eric who plays Loeto and Bongani who plays Baby maker and dj’s like Dj Shimza attended.

Unlike many upcoming djs who would dream to go overseas, Dj Sevij’s favourite destination place is here in Africa and his favourite food is dumpling and chicken full gravy.
